Hitherto unknown (to me, anyway) Uzbek opposition site

An article - more of an open letter, really, by an activist named Evgeny D'iakonov - that I first saw on Centrasia.ru (titled "Tanks will crush villages and towns...We must act") - was sourced to a website called Uzbek-People , which I've never seen or heard of before. It's set up using Yandex's free hosting service, Narod.ru, and seems to have been up since mid-2003, judging by the dates in some of the older materials on the site. It's all in Russian, and I don't have the energy to translate any more, but if you can read the Russian there may be some items of interest there (e.g., a list of Karimov's "crimes"). You should also check out the link to the article on Centrasia.ru, there is a wealth of comments from readers on that article, and many of them provide some insight into the range of opinions among people actually in Uzbekistan.
