A false spring

Yesterday it was drizzling and above freezing, giving Muscovites a taste of what spring will be like in 5 months or so - all of the snow of the last couple of weeks is thawing, and sliding off of rooftops in slushy cascades.

But last night it dipped below freezing again, and this morning Triumfal'naia was covered in treacherous black ice - you can see how the morning commuters are keeping both feet on the ground and making their way to work by shuffling across the slickness:

Winter's not over, not by a long shot. I wouldn't have it any other way.
