Mosnews has a brief item in English on the proposal to allow Putin to run for a third term. It contains no new information and refers to the NTV report.
RIA Novosti just came out with a story (in Russian) reporting opposition to the initiative from several officials. This is probably going to be the official line on this initiative, which may now die down as quickly as it started. I'm going to translate it, not that I don't have better things to do, but it may be the last word on the story (or it may not, who knows?).
